The Life and Times Of Prophet James Ajadi Oladimeji
Pastor James Ajadi Oladimeji was born into the family of Late Pa. and Mrs. Wintokun Wintorun in the year 1934 at Otun Olode, Oju Irin , Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.
His family house is in Ile Aiku Compound Aain Okuta, Alafara, Olubadan.
His father had five (5) wives and many children. He was unable to attend school because he was the only one chosen among the numerous children to assist and succeed his father as the Ifa Oracle priest.
Later in life, Baba eventually became a Christian. He grew up at Saint James Anglican Church, Arum (Headquarter) Ibarapa East Local Government Area.
Due to the long journey from his village to Arum Headquarters, Baba, other youths and children in his village started worshipping God under a shady tree in the village.
History told us that when the grown-up people heard about them there, they later joined them at St. James Anglican Church eventually and those people became the pioneers and members of the church among others were the families of:
- Pa. Ojo-Oga
- Pa. Olajide
- Pa. Ogunremi
- Pa. Wintokun
- Pa. Ogundare
At Christ Apostolic Church Olugbode, Baba became a church worker in 1949.
He learnt carpentry work, having graduated in the year 1965.
Pastor James Oladimeji and his wife, Mrs. Abosede Ajoke, were blessed with many children both male and female.
On the 30th September 1981, Baba voluntarily withdrew from the Civil Service.
Baba was baptized at CAC Alapata by Pastor Adefila on the 19th August, 1989.
He was a member of Imole Aye group and was an active participant in church planting.
Baba was appointed an Elder by Pastor M. O. Bamigbegbeun and D/S Obafunso on the 4th September 1998.
Having attended Bible College, CAC Seminary, he was later ordained as a Pastor on the 30th April, 1999.
Churches Founded
Being found a vessel unto honour in God’s hand, owing to his steadfastness and commitment to God, it pleased God to use him in founding the following churches:
- CAC Oke Vanu, Ile Tuntun, Ibadan – founded in the year 1980
- CAC Oke Anu, Laoye, Ibadan – founded in the year 1997
- CAC Ori-Oke Aanu, Alapata, Aiyetoro, Ibadan – founded in the year 2000

God has used his servant to raise several leaders in the Lord, who are very supportive, reliable and trustworthy.
They have immensely contributed to the work of God; some of them are now Pastors, Evangelists, Elders, Lady Evangelists, Deacons, Deaconesses and vibrant church workers.
Inspired Song
Baba had been inspired and loved to sing a song that goes thus:
Irina jot mon ri kikan sa raaye
Irina jot mon ri kikan sa raaye
Irina jot mon ri kikan sa raaye
Irina jot mon ri yikun mase ra rin nu
Irina la o baba.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
The Song Later Changed To
Irina jot mon ri baba Aye
Irina jot mon ri yimo ra rin aye
Irina jot mon ri yimo ti goke ayo
Irina jot mon ri yimo rin nu
Mo tilla ja o Baba.
May the Lord be with family and the entire church members in Jesus name.
